Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to induct five new aircraft to its fleet

As per details, two A-320 Airbus will be inducted into the national flag-carrier by November, while a tender to buy three new narrow-body aircraft will also be released next month.

The 323 narrow-body aircraft will help the PIA in minimizing its expenses of fuel and will also help in expanding its international and domestic flight operations.

It may be noted that, the PIA had also started facility of overhauling of 777 Boeing in various cities of the country.

Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan International Airlines Air Marshal Arshad Malik had said the move will help the PIA in controlling its expenses of overhauling of the aircraft.

Six Presidential Ordinances on cards to bring legal reforms

The federal government has sought the federal cabinet to give approval to the presidential ordinances in order to implement six new legal reforms

A summary has been sent to the federal cabinet by the secretary of Ministry of Law and Justice for the approval of six ordinances to promulgate the draft bills.

The draft bills include ‘The Letters of Administration and Succession Certificates Ordinance, 2019’, ‘Enforcement of Women’s Property Rights Ordinance, 2019′, The Benami Transaction (Prohibition) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019’, ‘Superior Courts (Court Dess and Mode of Adress) Order (Repeal) Ordinance, 2019’, ‘National Accountability (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019’ and ‘Legal Aid and Justice Authority Ordinance, 2019’.

It may be noted here that the recommendations were made by the state-constituted ‘Task Force’ under the chairmanship of the Law Minister Farogh Naseem in order to expedite lawmaking process for alleviating the hardships of the nationals.

PM Khan meets Chinese President, bilateral relations & regional situation discussed

PM Khan meets Chinese President & Both the leaders discussed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, regional situation and matters of mutual interests, Radio Pakistan reported.

A day earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan held wide-ranging bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The exchange of views particularly covered the strengthening of bilateral economic partnership, according to a press release.

Upon his arrival, Prime Minister Khan was presented a guard of honour, accompanied by a 19-gun salute.

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed were also present during the meeting.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Planning, Development, and Reform Khusro Bakhtiyar, Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, and the Chairman BOI were also in attendance.

Extending felicitations on the 70th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China to his counterpart, PM Khan underscored that the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between Pakistan and China served the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples and contributed to peace, development, and stability in the region.

The two leaders also witnessed the signing of various agreements and MOUs aimed at deepening Pakistan-China ties in a range of socio-economic sectors.
