Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has approved the recruitment of 100,000 jobs in the province.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Punjab Government Spokesperson Hassan Khawar said that the recruitment will be made on education, experience and merit.
He said that the change of the IGP Punjab is not under consideration. “However, the government will make changes at the Lahore level,” he announced.
Hassan Khawar said that the recruitment process was being started immediately. “33,000 posts will be filled in government schools and colleges. In the first phase, 16,000 posts will be filled – 1,600 in the Health Department, 6,000 in Specialized Healthcare and 600 college teachers. Moreover, 4,800 posts if patwaris will also be filled,” he added.
