PM Khan to launch Kamyab Jawan Program today

 Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch most-awaited “Kamyab Jawan Program” on Thursday (today) for the welfare of youth across the country.

The ceremony will be held at the Convention Centre Islamabad. The federal authorities have completed preparations for the formal inauguration of the program.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar became active for the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) lending programme’s success and met various prominent leaders including Asad Umar, Jehangir Tareen, Faisal Javed and others yesterday.

The meetings were held to discuss the final preparations of the inauguration ceremony which would be attended by the central leadership of ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), federal and provincial ministers and youth.

This program comprises two categories: In the first category, the youth will be provided with loans from 100,000 to 500,000 rupees to start their business whilst in the second category, the youth will be provided with loans from 500,000 to five million rupees.

IMF Deputy Director in the Research Department Gian Maria Milesi-Ferrtti affirmed that Pakistan has remained steadfast on fiscal adjustment and has picked up economic stability as a result.

He said there were good signals on the confidence front that the exchange rate was more realistically showing the economic conditions. He added that investors are gaining confidence.

He outlined that Pakistan’s tax revenue has been increasing despite of several challenges to the state’s economy.

Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed an upward trend on Wednesday with the benchmark KSE-100 index gaining 218 points and hitting 34,302 points.

PCB refutes report of conflict between players & Misbah

PCB has strongly denied the claims, saying Misbah do not have any conflict with the players.

It was earlier reported by some news channels that Misbah Ul Haq has expressed disappointment with the attitude of some Pakistani players during the training session, including the captain of the team Sarfaraz Ahmed, Wahab Riaz, Imad Wasim and Haris Sohail.

Erdogan rules out any option of talks with Syrian Kurdish Militants

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday firmly ruled out any negotiations with Kurdish militants in Syria as the United States pushed for a ceasefire.

“There are some leaders who are trying to mediate… There has never been any such thing in the history of the Turkish republic as the state sitting at the same table with a terror organisation,” Erdogan said in a speech to parliament.
