Eid Milad un Nabi is being celebrated today, on 12th Rabi ul awwal of lunar month, across the country with religious zeal and fervour.
An official 31-gun salute at the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in provincial capital cities was carried out in the dawn.
Processions are being held across the country to pay express love, devotion and respect for the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). Special conferences and events are being arranged to pay respect to the last messenger whose life and teachings are beacon of light for the whole mankind.
Streets, roads, bazaars, shopping centres, and government and private buildings have already been beautifully decorated and illuminated with lights, colours, and banners bearing writings about the celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him).
President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have extended their felicitations to Muslims on the occasion of Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
