Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa met Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Tehren today (Tuesday).
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that matters pertaining to regional security environment and mutual interest came under discussion during the meeting.
Iranian President, while speaking on the occasion, appreciated role of Pakistan towards regional peace and success of Pakistan Army against terrorism.
Earlier, the Army Chief met Secretary of Iran s Supreme National Security Council Admiral Ali Shamkhani and Army Chief Major General Abdul Rahim Mousavi.
According to ISPR statement, matters related to Regional security environment and bilateral defence cooperation were discussed in the meeting.
