The Pakistan Army is continuing the relief and rescue operation after the heavy snowfall.

According to a press release issued by the ISPR on Saturday, a control division has been established at Murree Division.

“Rescue centres have been established at APS and Army School of Logistics Kuldana. Cooked food and petrol being provided to the stranded people. All camps have been provided with heating arrangements,” the release added.

The ISPR said that heavy machinery from Murree, Army Engineers Division and the FWO are working without any pause to assist the struck people. “Troops are out in the field. Troops have been moved to the places where machinery cannot reach. We are clearing traffic and opening roads in the area.”

The ISPR said that Jheeka Gali and Gharial Road have been opened, while troops are busy opening Kaldana Road. “People trapped at different places have been shifted to Kaldana APS,” it added.
