The Ministry of Religious Affairs has said that more than sixty thousand Hajj applications have been received so far in thirteen nominated banks across the country.
In a statement, the spokesperson of the Ministry said that designated branches of banks will also remain open today to receive Hajj applications despite Sunday. He said applications would be received till Friday.
Earlier, Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony had extended the date for collection of Hajj applications by designated banks from March 7 to 9.
The Government designated banks for receiving Hajj application include National Bank of Pakistan, Habib Bank, United Bank, MCB Bank, Allied Bank, Bank of Punjab, Bank Alfalah, Zarai Taraqiati Bank, FaysalBank, Askari Bank, Bank Al-Habib, Habib Metropolitan Bank, Meezan Bank, and Dubai Islamic Bank.
