National Coordination Committee has decided to extend the closure of eastern and western borders of the country for a period of another two weeks from today.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Security Division Dr. Moeed Yusuf announced the decision during a press conference. He said sea ports will continue operating with enhanced screening facilities.
Dr Moeed Yousaf said international flights to the country are banned till 4th of next month and there will also be prohibition for flights leaving the country for abroad from tomorrow.
He said arrangements have been made for Pakistanis stranded at various international airports and a batch of Pakistanis from Thailand will reach the country tonight. He said domestic flights will also remain suspended except from Islamabad to Gilgit.
