Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said on Saturday the elected representatives at the union council level will consolidate data of residents in their respective areas and share the data with deputy commissioners for coverage under the Naya Pakistan Sehat Sahulat cards programme.

The issues reviewed in the meeting were education, health, cleanliness, WASA, environment and others.

The health minister shared the progress on Naya Pakistan Sehat Sahulat Card and the facilities given to people under healthcare.

In her address, Dr Rashid said, “Prime Minister Imran Khan shall give away Naya Pakistan Sehat Sahulat Cards to all 31 million families of Punjab from January 1, 2022. Insurance coverage of up to Rs1 million will be available under t the scheme. Divorced women and widows are included in the coverage plan.”

She said all UC representatives will share the data of families with the deputy commissioner office.

As per the cabinet decision, the name and CNIC of every cardholder will be mentioned on the card. All married women must get their data updated at NADRA. People are being given awareness about the card. “The insurance facility of up to Rs1 million will be available at public and private sector hospitals empanelled with the program.
